“Hari Merdeka (Independence Day) is a national day of Malaysia commemorating the independence of the Federation of Malaya from British colonial rule in 1957, celebrated on August 31 each year. This should not be confused with Hari Malaysia (Malaysia Day) when Malaysia was formed on 16 September 1963 together by Federation of Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore.” – wikipedia
Dame & Ryen celebrate the 56th Independence Day
I’m not gonna talk about the history of our Independence Day or how Malaysia is formed, (as Malaysian) we all know that clearly how it goes. I just want to wish all my fellow Malaysian a Happy 56th Merdeka & 50th Malaysia Day and hope we were able to celebrate it with the spirit of unity and undivided love for our country. Yes, It’s been a 56th celebration of Merdeka that held on August 31st each year nationwide and we are also celebrating 50th Malaysia Day on September 16th each year since 2010. Each year they will be a theme for the Hari Merdeka celebration, and this year theme is “My Sovereign Malaysia: My Native Land” (Malaysiaku Berdaulat: Tanah Tumpahnya Darahku) it’s more of a theme of unity and patriotism and unity oriented nation. It doesn’t matter either it’s Merdeka Day or Malaysia Day, in the end we are all Malaysian, celebrate it both as Malaysian and most of all we should proud that we are born and live in our native land called MALAYSIA. Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!
